Welcome to the first, of what we hope to be a weekly, blog on the Capital Enterprise website. Each week I will let you know of the latest news and events for entrepreneurs in London whilst also giving my personal take on the latest developments as they affect Capital Enterprise members.
I will also be using the blog to keep everyone up-to-date with latest work and activity of Capital Enterprise. This past summer we have been very happy to see the launch of the Business Turnaround Service that is now been offered by 4 members in 8 London boroughs. We hope in the next few weeks to announce that the service will be funded by more London Boroughs so that struggling businesses outside central London can get help to survive and sustain jobs. So far the service has help over 100 London businesses, and both the take up and feedback from those who need help surviving the recession has been more than encouraging.
We also hope to be able to announce in the next few weeks the launch of a new on-line clearing house for landlords in London with empty property. The project which is been developed by Capital Enterprise in partnership with the Mayor of London office and the British Property Federation, is been developed to help new and new to London businesses to find and rent the best value for money accommodation in London. You will hear about the scheme first on this blog, as well as other initiatives involving Capital Enterprise that will help London’s new and small businesses.
Next week is the National Federation of Enterprise Agencies annual conference in York. It will be my first time attending as a board member of the NFEA and I hope to give you a full report on any relevant news or behind the scene developments in next week’s blog.
To get this blog of to a great start, I thought I would post twice today! Please check out What’s on in London? for a list of events for entrepreneurs happening in London in September. If you want to promote your own event then please let me know.
