Also speaking at the recent NFEA conference was Lorely Burt, the Liberal Democrat spokesman on Business Enterprise and Regulatory Form. She gave an interesting, if very very short on detail speech, on what the Liberals will do if they got in power to support enterprise.
Lorely Burt and her party seem particularly committed to local borough councils supporting local businesses, so I asked if she could tell us what local Liberal led councils in London were doing. To be fair she accepted that often they are not doing much but then she gave an open invitation to work with any of our members who are struggling to fund programmes in a borough led or run by the Liberal Democrats, to see if she can support you to change the minds of the local Liberal politicians. If you are interested then please let me know.
