Role: Data Scientist Intern
Transformative think a revolution in healthcare is coming. By using cutting-edge artificial intelligence and novel analysis techniques employed at CERN, we are transforming the treatment of serious medical conditions. Our mission is to collect and translate clinical data into real-time, predictive assessments that guide the actions of patients and healthcare providers. We’re backed by Europe’s top accelerator, Entrepreneur First, which specialises in building deep technology companies, and have links to Cambridge University.
Intern role available:
The intern’s work will primarily involve developing an algorithm to identify outliers in cardiac data. There are two basic types of outliers: (a) those caused by measurement errors; (b) those caused by ectopic beats (in our case, these are mostly premature ventricular complexes). This will be a key contribution to Transformative’s work enabling us to reduce the amount of noise in our system, refine our results and, ultimately, save lives.
Your skillset should include some, or most, of the following:
1. Ability to adapt quickly to evolving computing paradigms and requirements
2. Dynamic languages: Matlab, Python
3. Masters degree
Nice to have:
1. Common machine learning environments: tensorflow, keras, scikit-learn
2. Compiled languages: C++
